wow if this is true then the xbox is going to have one big hard drive and its going to have one because it says the amount of gigs it has left in it unless im mistaken.

I don't think that screenshot is indicative of how much HDD space we'll actually have.

Everything's too premature right now; the name, the specs, so don't fret on trying to guess the actual specs.

yeah remember this is the dev kit, not the actual console, so that isn't an indication of HDD size. This machine is likely to be somesort of G5 derivative rather than a console based machine, as that was what was speculated the XDKs were.

Error - not quite true, Midway was the internal name, not the external codename. Xbox was the name that developers, press etc knew it by.

I'm not sure what to think about that screen, why is their an IP address on the bottom with the name stentorian? Oh well, we'll probably never see this screen on the real Xbox 2 so I think the only thing we can take from this is the name. I'd guess they'll keep the name, sounds better than Xbox 2 or Xbox Next if you ask me

Glow, it's been well reported/rumoured that the next Xbox is likely to have 3 processors - IBM PowerPC based, similar to those in the Apple Power Mac G5 (this was all posted earlier in this story by other people).

It has bugger all to do with Intel's Xeon CPUs.

That is just the codename, it is not specified whether it is name of the system, like the NGC is codenamed Dolphin. And for the guy who said Sony isn't saying much....... You should know that Sony has said basically everything we need to know about the PS3 and it's "Cell" chips, they even started talking about it 2 years ago. I can remember seeing an article about the Cell 2 years ago in a Gamepro mag.

Launching in 2005 mite not be such a good idea. I think Microsoft is just hesitating on getting 30% head start in market shares. They are under estimating the power of Sony's fan base. I have met some people who rather shoot them self in the leg to even think of trying 2 play Halo. Also, this will give Sony an upper hand in strategy. They can pullback the system and upgrade it in-a-way that X2 will look outdated 2 PS3 (could be the same stroy with Dreamcast and PS2).
