Rare Moving Perfect Dark Zero to Xbox Next Launch?

I just hope the Xbox 2 doesn't come prematurely

SUCKES, Its sad that most developers have yet to even touch the XBOX possibilities and we are getting XBOXnext games mentioned already! I think they should not release XBOXnext until XMAS 2006 and get 2 more years and some really freaken INSANE games on the current platform.

I saw this coming a mile away. Anyone with a brain knew that PD Zero was going to the Next Xbox platform. How much do everyone wanna bet that Conker is still gonna be played ? I dont care about Kameo, just Conker and Perfect Dark.

I hate the fact that no developer besides Bungie and Tecmo have really used the Xbox's muscle in a game. But thats fine, I just bought Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on Xbox and I can truly say I will never play the PS2 version again thanks to the Xbox's smoother gameplay.

You may have a point....but then again you may not have a point. If the Xbox's GPU is so dated then why is the PS2 getting games that do not look any better than Tekken Tag Tournament? Say what you want, TTT uses more than 50% of the PS2's total processing power. If you still dont believe what I say, go and rent Samurai Warriors for whatever system(Ps2 or Xbox(when it comes out)) and look at the draw distance, and look what happens when a lot goes on. Regardless what you say about the Xbox, it only makes the other systems look weaker. I believe that Devil May Cry 1 & 2 couldve been done on the Dreamcast give or take a little less. But then again....the DC has bit the dust. No wait, have you played GTA3 on both Xbox and PS2? Well just remind yourself on how much it will take for the both of them to slow down to a crawl. And those titles you mentioned that use the Xbox's power are just about all of them, you forgot Ninja Gaiden, and DOa3 which runs at a whopping 130 fps. Doa2 maxed 60 fps's on both the DC and PS2. Those handful of polygons that the PS2 offered you couldnt really tell any difference unless you went to Tecmo. And lastly about that ugly color palette....compare Ryu Hayabusa's blue NES ninja gaiden outfil on both platforms....the PS2 color pallette lacked color guard I think.


P.s. How much longer must EA have the lBond Liscence ? I think that the longer they have it, the more people will get p'oed of with Bond game entirely. I wish Rare would get it back.....and have Free Radical to make it...thats a wondeful dream.

Well this is good news for me! I really hope it is a launch title for it. That would mean I'm definatly buying on launch. They really couldn't release it so soon after Halo 2. Specially if Rare and Microsoft want it to be a huge franchise like Halo. It needs to be a Xbox Next launch title. Mainly so it isn't over shadowed by Halo 2, to also fill in the gap between Halo 2 and 3 and also give the console a huge boost at launch just like Halo did.

Lets just hope Rare deliver. Though they always do ^o^

RARE better start putting out some GREAT games! Grabbed by the Gohulies was a bust! MS needs to turn the screws on them, they are capable of much better!

KAMEO Elements of Power and CONKER LIVE & RELOADED are the only ones shown at E3 2004 that I could find.

Go to Gametrailers.com and grab the CONKER L & R trailer, it looks to have chance. The KAMEO thing looks like a rental, time will tell!

I think it`s been said that Rare has a new crew of some good game makers.If so expect some good games. the next generation technology is already here why wouldnt the"neXt" Xbox be applied today...Or by Christmas(Xmas)...I believe that the fear of sony ripping more gamers off disturbes "US" greatly .meaning the sooner there out of the gaming buisiness the better! GO "neXt"box GO!!... I mean is there any solidity to sony`s "cell" technology thats been seen yet?!...Ihave seen XNA ...You tell me.

Expected. Rare is one of the slowest developers on the planet. They'll never make it in-time for even next year.

They were bought for the next Xbox regardless of what MS said before.
None of the 2 games they are putting out for this gen looks like it's gonna be a hit.
Conker, despite the massive press and advertising on the N64 did any good. I doubt it'll do any better on the Xbox. Cartoon violence just doesn't cut it regardless of how many swear words and blood splatters happen. It'll just attract the ire of morons like Senator LIEberman.

Perfect Dark better make it to the Xbox:Next launch offerings. Otherwise, MS overpaid on Rare's ability to produce good games.
