Stripe in the X365 forums found this one for us. Be careful what you bid for on Ebay. One 'lucky' buyer ended up spending $200 on an empty Xbox Limited edition box - no Xbox, just the box. In what seems like a complete act of stupidity, the buyer, known as echo910 grabbed himself a bargain, something he can leave as his legacy for his grandkids....
Here's the full details of the listing
Up for auction is a mint condition, limited edition Xbox box. It has No scuffs or marks and looks rather nice. Use it to impress your friends by making them think you have a spiffing brand new crystal xbox sat at home, or carry it around town in a see through carrier bag to be the envy of geeks everywhere. This is the must have accesory for gamers.
The Winner paid £115.00 (Reserve met)
Here's the sellers comments: Fast payer, but a bit rude. And should read auctions better before paying. And Here's the buyer, echo910 comments: never buy anything from this f**king w**ker £120 for a box

All we can say is avoid idiots like gimpysvideogames, he's clearly out to rip gamers off. The Item specifics claim it's condition is New in Box, that would make someone who is quick off the mark believe it really is a console. If it was me, I wouldnt have paid. I would have told him where to get off.

yeah, the seller clearly states what his is selling. Now, because this guy can't read he goe's and leaves negiitive feedback for him. Someone should protect sellers from people who can't read and then take in out on messing peoples feedback up. I am surprised the 365 is backing this guy just because it is so clear to me that is is just the box for sale. They had this probelm when xbox was released with people selling just the box, but this is clearly just a box. eBay is great place for people who can read!

I constanly purchase and sell items on Ebay and after having more than a thousand feedbacks have noticed that a majority of buyers are usually idiots and don't read the auction.......they just place a bid and expect their product to be shipped in perfect condition. Read the damn aution

@!*%ing sellers should be shot in the face for even posting stupid, worthless shit like this on ebay. Okay, maybe the seller didn't fully read the auction but it clearly stated by the seller "New in box" which to the normal bidding consumer the Xbox is "New In Box". I would sue his ass, open up a paypal investigation and make sure I got my money back. I feel bad for the guy and anyone that finds doing something like that to someone actually funny your just a plain old scumbag.

Hey, the way I look at it is that box is worth big money now. Heck at least $200 well...to some..."one" It is becoming quite famous and we all know famous means money. On second thought, this may be a stretch after all it is ONLY a box. Thank goodness I can pass 2nd grade reading cause I sure would hate to even pay $5.00 for an empty box even if it is an "Xbox 360" box.
