Halo 2 Goes Gold!!!!! |

Microsoft Game Studios announced that Halo 2 for Xbox, the most-anticipated video game of the year, has gone gold and will ship simultaneously over three days to 27 countries in eight languages. Halo 2 will be available on November 9 throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The sequel to the award-winning Halo: Combat Evolved, will be available in France, Belgium and Switzerland on November 10, as well as in Japan and the rest of Europe on November 11. Halo 2 is being localized in eight languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional), Spanish, French, German and Italian.
In Halo 2, the action picks up where the first game ended. Master Chief, with the help of a small group of marines, has destroyed the religious artifact and artificial world known as Halo, and is making his way back to Earth. Upon arrival, he and the last surviving Earth forces will mount a titanic final struggle against the marauding Covenant armada.
Pushing the Xbox hardware to its very limits, Halo 2 will expand on everything that made the original game great, plus add a wealth of technological and gameplay advances. Significantly improved graphics, enhanced artificial intelligence (AI), an advanced real-time lighting engine and destructible interactive environments are just a small part of Halo 2’s evolution of design and technology. Every improvement in Halo 2 is designed to take gameplay to a new level -- and in the end, to tell a more compelling story.
Utilizing Xbox Live to redefine online play, Halo 2 will deliver superior online multiplayer capabilities. Whether playing with a clan on a new multiplayer map, boarding a friend's Warthog, dogfighting in Banshees or checking player stats, Halo 2 will bring the social experience to a higher level via Xbox Live.

I hope that during the day of, these xbox sites on the net will see a lull. If not, then those xbox owners must hate Halo.
I see no reason for being on the internet the @!*% few days of Halo 2's release.

No where have I been able to discover exactly how many Halo 2 games will be ready on release day.
Millions, presumably but really, how many? Will anyone who wants HALO 2 be able purchase it on launch day? Is pre-ordering really necessary? Is there a chance that some will get theirs and some will not until a later shipment? I've read that there are over a million pre-orders for Halo 2... the most for any game in history. How many will North America get (exactly) and will there be enough?

I can't wait. This is the game that some of us have been waiting for since the launch of the Xbox (well within a week, lol. That's how long it took us to beat it :D). This game will be the definitive Xbox game just like Halo was. What's crazy about it is that Halo will probably be the second selling game behind Halo. The newcomers will go and get the original to know more about what they're playing! I can't wait!! 28 more days!!!

The only thing that this means to me is that Australia and points east of the US will get it first on November 10th. I hate time zones and all that not so wonderful time oriented crap. It was just like when there was suppose to be that big computer problem or whatever on new years eve between 1999 and 2000, we got to see early if it would affect anything. It ruins all the fun.
