Ghost Recon 2 vs. Halo 2.

why are you comparing halo 2 with ghost reacon 2 . They are 2 diff games one is a fisrt person shooter (halo2) the other is squad base shooter (ghost recon 2) all u do in halo 2 is kill everyone and is based around one big mission objective (save the world), where in ghost recon 2 you have to plan your attack and use your squad men to help you and there is diff missions too. sorry but you cant compare them buy both dont just get halo 2 because " its the obvious choice"

because they are both out now, and gr2 and halo2 are more similar than say, espn football and halo2 - wouldnt u agree?

as it happens, I agree with utahsaint, gr2 is amazing online, but amazingly bad in single player/offline.

I'd get both.

I think its fair to compair these two games, and I agree with UtahS 100%.

GR2 feels like GR, and Halo2 feels like UC...

The two games are pretty sick when you play them online. I still have to go with Halo 2 though.

I have both games as well, but haven't even tried GR 2 online yet. If I'm not playing Halo 2 online, then I'm trying to bust through the campaign in GR2. I have to say though, the single player can be extremely frustrating.

has this guy ever played halo 2 online? "massive firepower" wtf is he talking about, it takes skill to kill people not the biggest gun u can find. I can kill anyone with anything no matter how weak the weapon. Firepower is not an issue in halo 2 and in my opinion the weapons are pretty balanced if u know how to use them. Either UtahSaint sucks a huge dick at halo and likes to bag on it because hes better at ghost recon or hes never played it. Regardless Halo 2 surpasses ghost recon in every aspect.

I have to completely disagree with you man. All the amazing game types, the superd gameplay (a good player will always beat a soso to low average player), vehicles, clans, and just the overall game that made HALO so gr8 is all in HALO 2. Nothing beats HALO 2 on LIVE

And persoanlly, I didn't really care for HALO 2's single player. The Covenant missions were just....bleh...

Well. I dont see how you could compare GR 2 to Halo 2. Halo 2 is better on the one hand...the only thing I really like is the New Gun..thats about it..lol

Haha, I see some a few Xbox365 members on my gaydar, quick turn off the power to the Xbox and switch to the GR2 CD before they poke us in the rear. It doesn't matter how small and weak his "weapon" is, he knows how to use it.

The features available on Halo 2 online are definately not where it needs to be. For instance, we should have the ability to find a match made game with the following criteria: Language rating or age rating. I don't wanna play stupid little teenaged kids who would *beep* their own mothers (we have have had acouple just post to this forum). I wanna play a game and have fun with good people, not mother *beepers*. Sorry, this post is rather rude. Please forgive me. We really do have a unfriendly crowd out there on the mics. Imagine some mouthy germ of a kid starts it up with someone who can be his father. That's not right. Someone sitting aside and watching this would just want to bitch slap the kid to wazoo... hahaha. We got alot of mouthy young individuals out there and here's how we need to handle it. Have the communicator relay what ever they say back to them, except 1 minute later. HAHAHa, imagine that,

Yeah, I find that Ghost Recon 2 is more fun than Halo2 (on Live). Halo 2's multiplayer portion isn't like the Halo: CE, it's more like a (somewhat) copy of Unreal--see enemy, shoot, and get kill--now, repeat!. I'm so dissapointed of Halo 2's multiplayer. They need to make Halo:CE multiplayer on Live whithout any change at all. Even if the max player is 8 or 10. :(

i have beat halo2 already but never played gr2 and i am a big fan of halo games and i have never been beat at halo1. but gr2 sounds like a cool game but halo2 is still better. thats my opion.

For me Halo 2 will stay Number 1 Online & Offline. GR2 yeah it is okay to easy though Online & Offline.GR2 online Big deal get a sniper & camp out tell you see an enemy and shoot him & wait for a another 10 minutes title the next enemy shows up, I don't know about you guys but that really sounds boring for a online ratting! Just upset about the zoom pistol, I remember having pistol wars with my cuz & his friends it was mad sh!t. I agree with weever it takes skill to kill online in Halo 2 & uthasaint in my opinion has no skill. It seems like he plays & enjoys gr2 for one reason so that he can be lazy and just grab a sniper & camp somewhere and wait for the enemy to come to him. That is probably why he does not enjoy Halo 2 online because he has to work hard to get somewhere.

Never mind halo or gr2. Halo is too short and gets boring. Shooters will never change, except for half life 2 which is way better than these two games put together.

Halo 2 palyer is good but you have 2 look at the main singler game. The first two levels are the best. Why the hell could they not of put most of the levels on earth for along time was spent on that shitty alien planet in Halo1 and It would of been better to fight on the earth abit more. The first two levels of halo 2 are cool, real cool but hey the rest are pretty crap and you are stuck fighting in clostrophobic buildings for too much of the game. Yea what was the point in having a sniper rifle when you are two feet away from most enemy. More open environments should of been in this game to use the vehicles more often. All in all halo2 is boring and there is only one way to finish the game. In my opinion the sheer coolness of the second level is the redeeming point and is the best halo level ever. That is the only reason that stops me selling this game. Off the point Knights of the old republic s way better than halo 2 not in graphics wise but in everything else. If anyone sees this purchase kotor rather than halo2. Mad well in som peoples minds but halo2 wears off too quick. Ok 8 hours off halos amazing graphics or kotors 80 hours of joining the good or evil. Yea you could be bothered ,very bothered to play kotor 3 times to find out different endings and plots but halo2 No.

Utah, how come your "online" picture is a picture of one of the single player missions? Since there are now vehical to be seen in online on ghost recon 2.

I would definately have to say halo 2 anyday, i had GR and it put me off the series, im very patient but damn! the whole choose the wrong gun and ya screwed thing is pretty bad, in H2 you can make any weapon work to your advantage if you have skills. I will keep the super futuristic i like it better (star trek fan).

That is seriously not the way you have to play Halo 2. With it's varity of game types, CTF, "Juggernot", Assult etc. Halo 2 online is most definitly not all about "massive firepower"

halo 2 is by far the more nejoyable single player campaign just to short

i have both gr2 and h2. i spend all my time online on gh2. they can be compared because there are solo and teambased games for both. one of the reasons i choose gr is you run into fewer kids playing. i usually play lms squad games. gr has larger more filled maps which leads to a slower game, though most i play have 5 minute time limits. so as somebody said above to sit and camp for 10 minutes.. wont work. i like the matchmaking on h2 more then how to find a match on gr2. gr2 has a setup of finding games like that of xbconnect on h1. except the quickmatch but then it might put you in a game of ss which more people seem to prefer anyways. when you do find a good server on gr2 though, you can stay there and play all night with the same group of people, even without having them on your friends list. alright this is already too much typing and biased twords gr2. but i prefer it.

I can say that being sniped in halo 2 has made me jump more than once before!!! SO DON"T EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER KNOCK HALO 2!!!

Halo 2 is a game that i waited for...I bought an xbox for this game! and at first i loved the game the single player was in fact the best i ever played and the mulyiplayer at its best was the most fun i have ever had in gaming but then i beat single player and i realized the problem with online...annoying children, being called a bitch by a 8 year old is not fun or fair, in case you are wondering i am an average player at halo 2 online not bad not good. GR2 had the hardest single player ever...i just skipped it(god mode!!!),but the online soon replaced Halo 2 as the most fun ever, very few annoing children or fanboys bitching at me when i say i like a differnet game, you act like you cant pull out a heavy MG and mow down enemy soldiers in CO-OP, sniping is only a small part of the experience. in the end these are to very different games for different people and thank god, i hate halo fanboys.

Still though i cant wait for Halo 3, but ill also be waiting for GR3.

GHOST RECON 2 has a way better multiplay, and it is also great that they have 4 people campaign!!!! That's the great part. If they had a halo with 4 people on a team that'd be great! also, the next halo should have a 4 -16 player multiply, where there's a board where the FLOOD actually keep on coming for 4 ever!!!!! That would be so amazing, id puke!!! and puke more (kidding)

HALO2 SUCKS

ghost recon and halo2 are both good games, however, the halo campaigne blew nutz out the window. ghost recon owns online, and campers dont always win. i dont camp at all on ghost recon and i own everyone and everything. i was ranked in the top 1000 Ghost recon players in just a few days after getting it. ghost recon is a game that takes amazing skill. yes halo does take some skill, but not as much as a game like ghost recon. halo you run and gun. GR your plan your attacks and get your enemys in all different ways. I think that both games have a tie, but if i had to pick, i would say that GR online is better, and halo is right behind that
