I wonder how the playstation fans are gonna respond to that comment, ecspecially after the Doom creator saying basically the same thing in the latest Game Informer.

I hope he's not talking, just to be saying stuff...He may just want to add fuel to the whole Sony Vs M$ battle. What I will agree with him on is that, your arm is definetly going to get bigger playing with the Rev controller...who needs a gym and dumbell reps?

What purpose would that serve. He doesn't stand to gain anything from speaking his opinion, and remember he isn't the frist developer to give an opinion on the two systems. John Carmack from id likes the 360 architecture more than PS3 and Cliffy B from Epic also says the 360 is better than PS3 in the new game informer magazine. Seems that all those fancy movies have more of a purpose than showing power, perhaps they are a facade to hide an actual lack of power.

That's not saying all that much IMO, because other developers have basically said the same thing. However, complicated system architecture can prove to be more of a hinderance for a console(sometimes anyway). Remember the Sega Saturn anyone ? It was a multi-processor system(also the Dreamcast as well), but it was a b**ch to code for and ALOT of the developers whined like little wussies and also didnt make too much software for it. But then the PS2 came along and was worse than the Saturn ever was to code for , and it didnt hurt that console much...it just made Driver2 come out a little bit later than the developers wanted it too. So we'll see how long they(developers) complain about the PS3's alleged 'complicated system architecture'. It obviously haven't stopped Konami from creating yet another MGS game, eh ?

In order to count a game as created someone would actually have to able to play it, not watch it. The companies are making PS3 games because it is profittable, playstation has a rediculous user base. The issue is not will the developers work on the system, thats what they do for a living so its a given. The issue is with the console being difficult to code for, which apparently PS3 is. The PS2 was said to be complicated too. The PS2 was difficult to work with. Same with PS3. The thing is, Sony is trying to do some cool things, but do not know how to do it properly. Gates has the brains on that, not Sony. Gates is a genuis when it comes to computers, so he knows how to do the same cool things Sony is trying, but better.

Erm.. if it wherent that itagaki was a big fan of the Saturn. And that the DOA version ofit was a lot better then the PSX version. He just likes to show off and be the Bad boy in Japanese game Industrie. That means ticking off Sony. For instance, the DOA version of the PS2 had more levels and more costumes so all fans already claimed it was far better then the DC version. THen only a few months later he released a limited Edition version for the DC with even more then the PS2 version.

What I do like is this rumour of NG2. THey guy never said much about it, in later interviews he even admitted he didnt even give it a thought because he has enough projects on his hands as it is. Now seeing how long Ninja Gaiden was in development, isnt it normal that he says :'I dont know yet wich platform it will be for'. Ninja Gaiden wend from Dreamcast to, Gamecube to Xbox. It is just sony fanboys keeping that one alive because he said that once.

Oh btw Itagaki did say the 360 was like a very overpowered SEGA Saturn. So I gues he likes it anyhow :P.

Just remember that the PS2 didn't have much competition for a while, so it was the only successful platform to code on and well if you wanted to keep your job you really had no choice.

some of the other developers were saying this at e3 . (not publicly),but it was a given regardless.

Funny, some developers said the same thing about the 360, they have already reached some limitations in the system, yet no one here mentions it.

See how the Developers that say the 360 is better have names, who said they have reached limitations on the 360. The only ones I can think of were the ones making emEnchant Arm and they said disk space was an issue, not power. Besides thier game looks like ass in motion so who cares?

Anyway, the color scheme on the PS2 version was horrible compared to the DC, if you dont believe me just look at Ryu's AWESOME Ninja Gaiden 1-3 outfit. In the PS2 version he forgot to use color guard when he washed his outfit. Although his Phantom double costume was missing..you know the red-orange palette swap.
