Lord Allard vs. Gravity [Update] |

We have recently learned that Microsoft's Corporate Vice President and Chief XNA Architect, J Allard, was involved in an accident while participating in an extreme sport. Sometime during the event, J Allard's bike betrayed him and it resulted in a pretty bad injury to Mr. Allard. So that's why we need your support to help J to a speedy recovery. Don't you want him at full power while working on your Xbox 360?
We want the ENTIRE Xbox Community to contribute, not just Xbox365. So if you are a community site or staff and wish to contribute, pop me an e-mail at Coola@Xbox365.com or ignore it and add it to a spam list.

A few of you have emailed me asking what is up w/ J Allard and his injury. In case you have not heard, he broke his left arms radius and scaphoid. He stopped by my office today and told me about it. It was a pretty nasty fall he took while mountain biking up in Whistler, B.C. In addition to the damage to his left arm, he also cracked a couple of ribs. Below are photos that J took of himself (with his camera phone) when he was in the ER getting treated. (On a side note, he was biking with another member of the Xbox team who separately on another run broke his LEFT hand.)

I hope it wasnt too serious, and also I hope for you a speedy recovery. I am very sure that someone will perform at the office in your stead just as wonderfully as you have done so far for us X-fans that are looking forward to hearing about the Xbox360 . And yes , Like cAIN said, I hope the bike got the worst of it. It's also nice to know that our favorite console's head honcho is also an Extreme Sportsman. Get well soon, J. I like the approach you have taken with the XBOX360 and your success at MS is well deserved. Watch out for those Sony asassins. Theywill use their floating point attack. You must counter it with shear integer. Thats right J, split your self into three seperate J's and to fool him split again in to six virtual allards. Surely you will win.

Hey Allard, I hope you can recover to finish what you started. I have bene a loyal XBOX fan since the first XBOX was mentioned and even went to a Microsoft Xtreme Event when the console was being first being announced/previewed for its coolness. I bought my XBOX on day 1 for $300 while all my friends laughed and said the XBOX was gonan fail. I fell in love with HALO and still am. Thanks for all the hard work. We need you back out here ASAP to continue on the XBOX360. If I can ask one favor of you it would be to come down to Boston sometime for some type of gaming event or to plan something for the Boston area. I plan to start up my own gaming center after I graduate from Boston College (Class of 2006). OR YOU CAN ALSO COME TO BC.
