The New Xbox Live Pricing?

I like the different choices, but for the premium Gold package you get a head set. If I'm getting the $400 Xbox 360, and that comes with a head set, what am I going to do with two of them? A back up I guess.
I still don't loke the two different Xboxes though, I still think the hard drive should be stanard. Now all they need to do is tell us the official release date.

It isnt that expensive really. We in europe already pay 59 euros for it. there are ways of gettig it cheaper I gues hehe. Some stores sell you the stuff that should be in the box but ppl waved using it goodbye for a little refund ont he box. They then sell it for half of that price. Or old live packages like Live+mechAssault for 20 euros ;). If you watch it a little you can get it far cheaper haha.

at ebgames i am able to pick my 360 up and will the xbox360 live be avaliable to purchase at the same time or is that one of the things you buy later. What is the points for the marketplace for.

the date that i know is november 2 2005 so that is what ebgames told me and that is what i am going with.

I think those are for newbies joining LIVE, just like when people buy a starter kit now, its $70.

But we can probabyl still renew for $50 a year, and get a headset in the premium.

Its a starter kit? Now Im confused. I thought the 360 was ready out of the box, why would you need a starter kit?

the core package I believe...or what ever the one with out the hard drive is called.

You live carries over so if you have it laready you will be paying the same 50 dollars this is for people that get the premium package or even the core package and dont already have xbox or live. Hence starter set. If you dont get the premium package you dont get a headset.. Good reason to get the ones with headsets also if you have friends over they can use headset also on live with you if you get an extra one. Market place is to buy items for games that other people make like you and me. You could make a skate park on tony hawk and someone who couldnt do it or doesnt want to take the time to do it could use there points to get yours. Or as we seen at E3 and MTV skatergurl can make you a t-shirt :-P. And yes xbox is ready out of the box both premium and core versions but you still have to pay for the service if you havent already. Oh, and I'm not M$ but change your dates and expect a Nov. 15 release for the xbox 360.

Oh, and for the 70 dollar one, why not pay 50 bucks for you live get a free headset free online game(even if it sucks) 200 points twards bulls*** and basically 20 dollars down on the next game you get? Basically live is still 50 dollars you just put 20 more twards a game (that garantee's sales for them no loss to you) and get your free headset and crappy gifts while your at it :-)

in order to be able to get live you must have the premium bundle in order to save your live account on, that is where they cach alot of gamers. xbox live silver just enables you to use the marketing place, gold gives you online play and tournaments.

This still makes no sense. Microsoft already said that the headset for the xbox does not work on the 360. So if you want a headset for the 360, you need to buy a starter kit? This is so confusing, Microsoft needs to come up with details.

Even if you get the core package you will have 30 days FREE OKAY FREE OF XBOX LIVE GOLD. Not to sure what the deal is with the headset. I mean look at it this way they are giving everyone options. If you already have a Xbox Live account just renew now it's $50.00. A lot of these offers are for people new to the system who have never experienced Xbox & Xbox Live the first time around.

Now what we should be doing is sending mass e-mails to MS regarding the launch date and launch games!!!

If you are already have an Xbox Live account it will automatically transfer to the 360. THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN CONFIRMED BY MS!!!

i dont know where you guys are coming out with this we'll still have to pay 50 crap i bet thats wishful thinking 60 isn't bad for all their adding to xbl but i still can grumble about it.

NeedTheBox, i would just like to say that you do not get 30 days free of xbox live gold with the core package because to access xbox live you must have the hard drive, and the hard drive contains the 30 days free trial. The hard drive is also being used for backwards compatability without the hard drive the 360 is not backwards compatable.

forerunner, you DO NOT NEED the hard drive for backwards comp. The software you need to play xbox games on the 360, is on the games themselves. MS has said that the hard drive is not need for backward comp. This is way its only a select games for backward comp. Its only the ones with the software in the game. Some may have it on the hard drive, but not all.
