Because every spartan has its own quality I seem to remember that one of them was really fast and agile and was a female. So she would be perfect for DOA.

Kelly's numer is not 458, besides the armor weights like two tons and moves with the body by thoughts. In no way would that not shatter bones.

There weren't more than 300 spartans so the 4 has to be a typo. If you replace 4 with 0 you get 058 which is Linda's number. And Linda is alive. She was clinically dead, but then got operated on by Halsey in First Strike, brought back to life. So yes, I believe it is indeed Linda.

spartans period haven't been thought of in the time of doa. Also that armour is master chiefs new armour, so the vast majority of spartans wouldn't even be wearing that. Either its a typo, or this is a new batch of spartan III's, which in the books they said were children at the time. Its just a bonus character, it probably has nothing to do with the story. I thought linda was the one who got crushed by some rocks after they faught the brutes.

Where the hell where the 2-3 spartans with chief at the end of first strike in halo 2. >.< I need to know.

very sporting of Bungie to grant Tecmo the liberty to use the spartan armour, nothing says Halo like an armoured spartan.

maybe we can see Ryu Hayabusa in Halo3 using ninpo on brutes and the covenant elite, and slamming the prophets with the Izuna drop.
(you see the covenant went to japan and desecrated the graves in Ryu's village, incurring the ninja's wrath)

I think you all are looking too much into this, its a character in DOA, thats all. Will have nothing to do with Halo 3, or try to combine the two games, there are two entirely different companys.
Its just trying to get the Japan market into Halo, So they can sell more when Halo 3 is released, if it happens one the same time of PS3 launch. MS just trying to come up with strageity for Japan. If Japan gamers see "a" master cheif in the fighting game, it may spark interset in Halo. Which never sold well in Japan.
Stop looking too much into it. This game is not based in reality, Team Ninja can come up with any story, so really hard to say which way they will go. They can say one came from a time travel to compete, or anything, so relax everyone.

Maybe the same way they put Hitomi in DOA Ultimate..She's a special character so she's just there for the battle rounds and online play but not in the story.

Well, I mean Master Chief is a fighter. Not that this is him, but someone said he wasn't. He fought an elite hand-to-hand (and almost lost) but managed to pin him so someone could fill him with lead from the infamous AR. And I think I remember him trying to take on a brute hand-to-hand (suicide) but he got lucky on that one. Anyway, the SPARTAN program originally had nothing to do with armor. They were simply meant as the best damn specops group in the universe. MC knows a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat.

Your right about Master Chief being able to fight. I found it cool that in "The Fall of Reach" they explained why a regular persom could not use the spartan armor.

there should have been other spartans in halo 2. But they were unmentioned, and did not show up in the game. Probably because it would have been confusing to people who didn't read the books. The excuse probably is, they were off doing other things.

well...i was completely wrong i believe, i think i looked at the picture a little too quickly the first time....seems that what i thought was part of a "sword," was really just the piece of the moon showing behind the earth.....i suck

Master Chief (John, Sparton-117) is a frickin badass.

if they did tie the story into halo's somehow (loose as it would have to be) kelly would probably be the most viable candidate. she and linda were the only surviving females and linda is a sniper, solitary and patient while kelly was the fastest and had the best reflexes of the bunch. one of the books has a passage talking about kelly sparing with another spartan and it says '...kelly had to slow herself down considderably...'

Dude there was only 74 Spartans and the numbers were all different levels, from 1 to 1,000. It's Linda, no she isn't dead who ever said that. Start reading First Strike whoever said that.

However, only 75 children were accepted, and only half those survived augmentation.

The only certain survivors are John (117, the Master Chief), Linda, Fred, and Will. Kelly is MIA with Dr. Halsey, and there are potentially three other Spartans that might be "elsewhere" in the universe. None of these were a higher sequence # than 150, however.

The fighting style for the spartan will be a very military combat style. Lots of attacks to disable your opponent and gain the uper-hand. If you read the books spartans are trained in hand to hand combat as well as the use of weapons. And look back to first strike where the master sheif killed a brute with his bare-hands. Spartans are exelent at hand to hand combat, but when your enemy is firing super-hot plasma with the intent to kill it's best to keep some distance.

The spartan |||'s were never seen so it is probably very likely it was one of them that was out of system when Reach was glassed (Just finished re-readind fall of Reach) not all the spatans were at reach hasley sont SOME of the spartan|||'s away for offworld ops

in the novels, ackerson had all this data on the spartans for cloning in that SIII file.

for anyone doubting the spartans' hand to hand abilities i will inform u that the chief as well as the rest of his team are excellent hand to hand specialists, the book states;

There were ways to escape a larger, stronger opponent." with this being said, heres the chief vs brute scene straight from the book. - "John's head slipped from the Brute's grasp. He swept out its elbow, wrenched the joint around, and pushed it as far as it would go--far past the point any human's or Elite's would have snapped. John stil clutched a frag grenade in his left hand.
