Xbox 360 - All Juiced Up
Article By: Andrew Carr

When I received an e-mail asking if I wanted a “Juice Box”, I laughed & said, “OK, I’ll take grape!” Six weeks later a small (and I do mean small) package arrived addressed to you know who. When I picked it up, it was literally 6” square. I opened the package & out rolled a small 3”x2” adapter. At this point, the purpose finally hit me.

The “Juice Box” is an adapter for the Xbox 360 play & charge kit. It has a USB plug and then plugs directly into a standard power plug.

Check out the features from this little trooper:

Protects your Xbox 360 from overheating while charging by:
  • Permitting you to leave your Xbox 360 off when not in use
  • Reducing the strain on your Xbox 360 while in use
  • Engineered and prove to be Xbox 360 friendly
  • Charge and play at the same time while seated at more than 6 feet from your Xbox 360
  • Eliminates the need to ever plug your wireless controller into your Xbox 360
  • Charges in the same amount of time as the Xbox 360
  • Runs on 110V Household AC power (compatible with any US home power outlet)

So I said to myself, “Ok… that’s cool, but when will I ever use it? I can just plug it into the front of my xbox!” Well, I am mistaken! Here’s the deal. My setup is set up to directly utilize this small, yet convenient accessory. You see, I have a 52” Big screen & have my Dish receiver and 360 sitting on top.

I found that when I went to plug in the play & charge cable, I had this 6’ cable hinging in front of my TV while I play! Now, is this a deal breaker? Will I just go crazy having this cable in front of my eyes? No. Chances are that I’d never really be bothered by it, but with this adapter, I can avoid it & get my wireless controller charged at the plug right next to me.

So… Does it work? Yes it does. It is built sturdy and well. In the packaging there was no instructions included, but then again, are any really needed? So, if you have a few bucks (as it is bound to be cheap, although no pricing was given to me), and have an actual use as in my case, then I say get it. The Xbox 360 Juice Box is currently available for $9.99.

I give it 7 out of 10. Nothing wrong, but not spectacular.

nice little accessory, even though it never touches the 360.....but i can def. see why some1 that has a setup where their 360 over their tv and don't want a cable in their screen would pick this up.

Not bad, But I already have the battery charger and extra batteries. I originally bought the plug and play kits, now though I have no use for them cause of the battery chargrer.

This is a cheaper device I would reccomend to friends.
