The person showing it off is well-hidden behind a hoody so that he cannot be found by the Microsoft Spec Ops team (and believe me, they do exist). Description: This is a demonstration of a hacked Xbox 360 running Linux at 23c3, Chaos Computer Club lightning talks in Germany. Some anonymous hooded guy comes along and shows it to the applauding crowd.

Did I miss something? All I saw was a stupid logo bouncing around at the end of the movie as the only indication that something non-standard was occurring. I understand the ramifications of having a cheap computer (and of course the implications of people figuring out how to save "backups" of games to their HDs), but other than that...who gives a crap?

Please all it shows is a custom logo saying that linux and OSX coming soon. It doesn't mean anything until they actually can do it.

^ it goes from a game into a custom screen, so that shows they've found a bug which can launch something external. Apparently King Kong has some sort of unsigned shaders vulnerability.

WOW, WHAT GOOD HACKING, what a retard, he just loaded a game and mad a screensaver, who knows that maybe during the actul show they could have changed the source of the projector to the laptop, but who knows because of the messed up camera. All i can say is that that was the worst hacking job I have seen. I admit I can't do better but atleast if your going through all that trouble of disguising yourself, show us something worth while.
