morrowind is truly an unbelievable experience, i would love to see the same sort of thing set in a futuristic possibly post apocalyptic enviroment with guns. sweet. i am level 87 and am finding very difficult to complete the few remaining quests as i have murderd half the population so if you want maximum gameplay try not to kill anyone unless absolutly necessary.

yo dude u dont want to b a vamp ya its cool and alll i mean i was at 1 time the effects are good and bad and if ur a vampire ya u can jump higher run faster and your caracters face changes but u can talk to no 1 so u cant do the main quest and the quest to get ur vampiesm gone is hella long peace

I´ve beat the main quest, and it rocks, you can´t get any disease´s and i can carry up to like, 2100 weight. Another rpg that looks very good and coming out in January, 2004 is Fable, formerly known as Project Ego

If you want to do the vampire quests just complete the main quest @!*%. You have a certain amount of time to get cured of vampirism before its too late.

Attribute spells are the best way to up your playing ability. The easiest way to get money is to find and mark the mudcrab merchant on the island between bal fell and molag mar. you can soul trap creatures you summon and steal their weapons by hitting the A button as soon as you strike the killing blow. Then hit X for take all items and let them disintegrate. Enchanting a sword is the easiest way to soul trap and steal weapons at the same time. The mudcrab has 10,000 each time you trade wtih him. And he replenishes his money every twenty four hours. If you sleep on the island with him between trades get a good distance away from him when you do. Other wise the animals and things that attack you will kill him too. The creeper in Caldera has 5,000 replenishable $ also.

I Love the game, but i´ve expirienced way too many glitches. I call the support just for them to tell me how to fix the prob... FYI :
Rest for 3 days outside of a town to stop corruption
Pick up all items and corpses to stop corruption
Save game frequently as NEW and not by using previous saved games.

Morrowind is by far the best game there is. I have played a many RPG,s but this is by far the game of the year. As for your Q,s No there is no way of becoming a Dwarf. But in the new Game of the year edition you can become a werewolf, so thats pretty cool!To become a vampire there is a tomb outside of balmora on the way to the eggminefollow the river north go up the hill on your right if you come 2 the eggmine you have gone to far, fight the vampire donot kill it, after leaving the tomb wait 3 days and go to sleep, when you wake up ur a vamp. any Q´s just ask GAME GOD!!!

Fargoth´s hiding place is easy to find, go to the light house and wait, you might need to sleep. to pass hours until night then you have to stand there and watch him sneak into the pond with the hollow tree stump. this only works if you watch him. Hope that Helps.

The Weight limit, I have a way to do it but I get told alot that it is cheating, *fair warning* Okay go to Arrille´s and buy the Jack of all trades spell. Then go to the Balmora mages guild, go down stairs and find the lady in the red robe, from her buy the soul trap spell. Next go to the white haired lady with the black robe (still in the mages guild) Go to spellmaker, You want to make a spell that fortifies Strenght, on self set it to like 10 pts, duration should be 2 seconds. Next you want to add soul trap on target for 2 seconds. Name the Spell and buy. Now when you want to cast this it will permantly increase your strenght in game play, when you level up it will read normal. You MUST look at the ground directly under you for it to work. This also works with ALL Atributes just do something else instead of strenght. These do no go away so make sure you want them. If you just want to make the things you have lighter, then find a feather spell, and then make a spell with the soultrap trick and you will stay at your stats but can carry as much as you want. Hope That Helps.

If you can find the Mzanch Ruins (which is on an Island to the east of vivic it is to the east of the mzanch ruins (I might have spelled the name of the ruins wrong) he looks like a mudcrab but doesn´t attack and he has 10,000 gold. after 24 hours he had 10,000 gold again. I would suggest getting the mark and recall spell from vivic, then when you find him cast mark, after that when you want to go back cast recall untill you have plenty of gold, I have like 400,000,000 or something close to it. *note* vivic guards armor are worth ALOT!! hope that helps.

alkanstene: If you leave Balmora going south follow the road east until you find moonmoth fort legion, then while standing outside the front of the fort turn north and walk til you find a road go east, you will cross a bridge, go south from the bridge and you should have NO problem finding it.

I cant find a way to get to the new sectins of morrowind game of the year edition.please help me out.And if ayone needs to know how to get the glass war armor just go to ghost gate and go to the lower level of one of the towers and go to the smith and you can eitheir try to buy the armor or go out of the smiths shop and fight the people out there.evenyually the shop keeper will come out and start to attack you kill them and grab the things you want and remember to use the keep your health up cheat

to the guy who cant find how to get to the new sections in the game of the year edition. you can get to solthsem (or the other island i´m not sure on spelling) in knull by taking a ship there are two differnt people on the docks that take places by boat one will take you to like four other places the other will olny take you to solthsem. to get to the capital city you have to go to ebon heart the best way though is to wait untill you achive about level 7 or 8 i think and after you boost your stats an assasin will attack you kill him, report it to a gaurd an he will send you to ebon heart to talk to some guy and he will tell you how to get there. hope I helped

the soultrap 1 sec on target aslo works with nighteye,bound weapons,all the stough you do to your self

Also if you have loads of gold get on the net and look up the master trainers. Then it´s only a matter of time and gold until you´re level 100 in everything. This cost about $200,000 gold and a few of the trainers will require you to join their faction , but you really can´t belong to too many. I´m level 100 at almost everything. Jumping from canton to canton in vivec is much easier than finding those pesky bridges..

I brought Morrowind the other day and i love it.
It is easily the best RPG i have ever seen.
For the people who want to become a vampire,
To become a VAMPIRE there is a tomb outside of balmora on the way to the eggminefollow the river north go up the hill on your right if you come to the eggmine you have gone to far, fight the vampire donot kill it, after leaving the tomb wait three (3) days and go to sleep, when you wake up ur a vampire.
NOTE: AS A VAMPIRE YOU CAN NOT TALK TO PEOPLE BUT YOU CAN JUMP HIGHER AND RUN FASTER, YOUR FACE CHANGES AS WELL! :)

For selling huge items (worth alot of money) what you have to do is rather go find the crab or the other vendor that has 5000 spending money. Once at them what you do is (if you already have alot of money) buy alot of his stuff, that way your money becomes his money and you can sell him your big item, once you sell your item, sleep for 24 hours and sell him what you original bought from him. As he runs out of money sleep for 24 hours and wow magicaly he has all his spending money back...

If your not filthy rich and still want to sell that big item what you need to do is get a few littler items that sell from 5000-10000 and sell him those (one at a time if need be) and again as he runs out of money you rest for 24 hours. Then once you have enough money on you + the money he has to sell your big item, buy the stuff you just sold him back and sell your big item. Rest for 24 hours and start selling your littler items once again.

Hey all!! This is an amazing cheat. And it really works. Makes it so you can boost your character´s attributes, all of them, in Morrowind, the elder scrolls 3 to an unlimited level.
@!*%, you have to have a soul trap spell and some spell that fortifies any atribute (the Jack of Trades spell you get from Arille´s Trade House in Seyda Neen is a good one). You also need about $1000. Go to The Balmora Mage´s Guild and talk to the old lady walking around in the basement ebout spell making. (Note that you can get a Soul Trap spell from the lady in the Balmora mages guild that helps you travel.) Name your spell wichever atribute you wish to raise (ie. Strength). Choose the fortify attribute option and do it for 100 t0 100 on self. Then choose the soul trap option and do it for two seconds on target. Buy the spell, then face a wall (not a person, unless you want to get attacked) and cast the spell repeatedly. The attribute you chose will increase 100 points every time you cast the spell. With one fortify atribute spell you can fortify any atribute to an unlimited amount.
Note that the desired result is ONE SPELL that does both things. Fortify attribute, and soul trap. And you can easily go overboard. If you fortify your speed to high you can easily kill yourself in areas where there is a long way to fall, such as Vivec. Yours, Malvagio.

will continue to rise and as it goes down, it will raise back up instantly. For example,

start filling your health/magicka/fatigue, and press B before it is to the top, While still

holding A and filling it, it will keep and always be full until you return to the menu.

Boost all weapon stats
Use the following trick to boost all your weapon stats, with the exception of Hand-to-Hand.

Note: The boost is the same as previous methods mentioned; the only exception is that you

are activating all of the bound spells for each weapon at one time, then pressing the

appropriate trigger buttons and holding them throughout. @!*%, acquire all bound "weapon"

spells that cover the weapon stats. Make sure you have a spell that raises long blade, short

blade, blunt weapon, etc. (one of each bound-type in your magic list). Depending on how much

magicka you have, you may have to enable the "Change magicka level" code to ensure your

magicka continues to rise as you cast the spells. Cast all of the bound "weapon" spells one

after another. Once all of them are active, hold X + L and watch the weapons switch out

rapidly. As they switch, the stats associated with each type of weapon will rise

tremendously. You can do this as many times as desired until the spell expires. To continue

boosting your stats, simply re-do the spells and hold the appropriate buttons your

controller. To raise all stats, Strength, Endurance, and Luck, all you need is Wraith Guard

and Sunder. Equip any weapon, and make sure you have the Wraith Guard on. Hold X + L to

switch between the Sunder and the other weapon. This will raise the stats of Strength,

Endurance, and Luck by at least 90 points at a time. This also works with Keening, but it

raises Speed, Agility, Health, and Willpower.

Infinite arrows
Equip a bow, then any arrow. Hold Attack to pull the arrow back. Enter the inventory screen

with the arrow still pulled back. You may now release Attack. Unequip the arrows and resume

the game. It will now continue to shoot the arrow. After it fires, it will not count that

arrow to be missing.

Increase Acrobatics skill
To increase Acrobatics, jump as you are traveling. It will level up after 50 to 100 jumps.

Jumping from building top to building top may increase this skill faster. You can also jump

in place. Use the following trick to get 1000 Acrobatics. This requires two scrolls of

Icarian Flight which can be obtained from Tharhief near Syda Neen. Cast a scroll of Icarian

Flight then jump forward. Ready another scroll of Icarian Flight. A few seconds before you

land, cast the second scroll. You will land with no damage taken and receive 1000

Acrobatics. Note: When you have over 1000 Acrobatics and you jump, you will die unless you

land in water. To get your Acrobatics skill up quickly, find a long stairway or a fairly

steep hill. Jump up the stairs or hill while holding the movement stick Forward. Keep

pressing Jump because you will not jump high or go very far with only one jump. You will be

jumping so fast up the hill or stairs that it will not take too long to increase that skill.

You will jump about five or six times for every jump you would have done while standing

still or moving across flat land. This is especially useful when leveling up a character

that needs good strength.

Increase Armor skill
To increase Armor, find some enemies that do not do much damage and get hit by them. The

Slaughterfish is a good choice.

Increase Athletics skill
To increase Athletics, run (not walk) around until your fatigue bar hits 0. Then, wait for

your fatigue bar to raise to full and repeat.

Increase Block skill
To increase Block, hold Chop while using a shield and get hit by enemies.

Increase Magicka skill
To increase various Magicka skills (Alteration, Destruction, etc.), go to one of the Mages

Guilds and look for a person that has the option of Spellmaking. For example, if you want to

increase Destruction, go to a spell that is under the Destruction school, such as Fire Bite.

Put the spell Firebite under Effects and set all of the things such as duration and

magnitude to 1. Go around casting the spell at objects (not at people). Every time you cast

it, it will go up about 3/100 points.

Ultimate Money Cheat:
@!*% of all, you must have about 1,000 or more gold coins and be strong enough to kill a

common shopkeeper. What you do is go to Caldera and look for the Creeper(he´s located

upstairs in the crummy shop with orcs in it). Now, he will buy what ever you sell him for

what it says its worth, so sell him all of your money for the price you gave him or more. Do

this several times and he will hold the amount he buys from you (if you sell him 1,000 gold

coins 10 times he will have 10,000 gold coins) then kill him and take it all back! p.s. the

more money you sell him (up to 5,000) the more he will hold.


Increase Mercantile skill
To increase Mercantile, buy something cheap (10 to 20 gp) and always go down on the price

slightly. Then, sell it back for a little more than they desire.

Increase weapon skills
To increase any one of your weapon skills, bind that type of weapon and hold X + L +R at the

same time. The game will make a switching sound, but it will not actually switch.

Easy money
After traveling to Balmora in the beginning of the game, stop by Ravi´ir the traders house.

A fairly heavy weapon such as axe or longsword of some sort is also required, which can be

acquired from the Armorer a few shops down. Walk up to him and begin to bash his face in.

You will have a decent fight on your hands -- save before undertaking this challenge. You

should win if you remember to keep hacking. This slight case of murder early in the game

will earn you the "Fiend Katana", and "Fiend Tanto". One is worth 9000 gold and the other is

3000 gold. You will also get three other enchanted weapons. Sell them to the Armorer across

the street or keep them to have extremely powerful weapons early in the game. He also has an

armory in the back of his house which can be raided and sold.

Go to the Mage´s Guild in Balmora. The nice lady upstairs must not believe in safes. She has

a lot of items (Soul Gems for the most part). Go downstairs and steal something minor, such

as a fork. As everyone comes for you, run about in circles to avoid most of the hits. After

doing this a few seconds, get past everybody and run up the stairs. With as little mistakes

as possible, quickly take the things you want and exit the Guild/ Drop the items outside and

find a guard. Pay him his 20 gold then retrieve the items.

For easy money early in the game, go to the Mage´s Guild in Caldera. Go into the tower and

go up the stairs to an unguarded table. The table is filled with alchemist equipment that

range in value from 100 to 4800 gold pieces. If alchemy is a major part of your class, you

can use this to help you greatly. However, if you just want the money, the best place to

sell it is the alchemist in Balmera next to the Fine Clothier. She is loaded with gold and

if you have not made her mad, you can get a hefty pay check.

After you are done creating your character, go over to the shelf in the @!*% room to find a

limeware platter worth 650 gold. To steal it without getting it taken away, take it then

quickly press B to put it in your inventory. Then, drop it on the floor and press B .The

guard will approach you and say something. Accept his offer, then look on the floor and pick

the platter up, without getting into trouble. This can be done with any item on the shelf.

Keep stolen items
Use the following trick to keep your stolen items if you get caught. Rather than paying

someone to relieve the bounty on your head, drop everything in your inventory, except gold,

somewhere you will remember. The objects will not be removed from the game. Then, pay a

guard. You will not lose your stolen items and the bounty will be gone. As an additional

bonus, the person you stole from will not attack you anymore or be sour towards you.

Get rid of bounty for free
Go to Balmora and join the Thieves Clan in the Southwall Cornerclub. The man at the counter

downstairs can take of your bounty for a price. To get rid of it for free, drop all your

money in one of the crates outside the Cornerclub. Go inside and talk to the man downstairs

behind the counter. Choose to talk to him about the price on your head. Accept to pay, but

since you have no money in your inventory, you will not lose anything and your bounty will

be gone. Go back outside and get your money from the crate.

Good armor
To get good armorer at the start of the game, get very proficient with one weapon. Then,

kill one of the Ordinators in Balmora. You will have a good fight and someone may see you.

Make sure you save before attempting this. Also, immediately after you start out, you can

ride the Silt Stiders (travel bugs) to Vivec. Go to the Redoran Waistworks. Go to the smith

located there and enter the room in the back. Close the door and you can take anything

desired. He has good armor, such as the Dreugh Curiass, a medium armor with an armor rating

of 60.

Spell costs
If you are short just a few gold to get a spell, you do not have to resort to stealing or

selling your items. Join the Mage Guild and go to the spell you require. If it is just a few

gold more than you have, keep asking the man and the price of the spell will fluctuate each

time.

Avoid fall damage
To avoid damage from falling, do not jump off anything. Instead, just walk off the edge.

This is helpful in getting to the bottom level of Vivec quickly.

@!*%, you will need a lot of money, depending on the skill you wish to train. Next, you

will need to find someone who teaches that skill. Once you have done both of those things,

start training repeatedly in a certain skill, or multiple skills. As you probably know, when

someone trains you in any skill, your level meter goes up 1/10. Train ten times, or however

many times it takes you to level, to level up. To control the multipliers (relatively) you

will need to know the governing attribute of the skill(s) you have trained in. When you

train in something, the multiplier on the governing attribute of that skill goes up by 1x,

to a maximum of 5x. You can have any number of multipliers, as long as they add up to ten.

Note that certain skills take more to train than others, and as your skill increases, so

does the price of the training. The following is a list of trainers and their locations that

can train their particular mastery up to 100 points. Note: Some of the trainers will require

you to do certain things, such as get to a certain rank in their guild. Others will train

you for your gold.

That ´realist gamer´ comment is pretty funny sh**. Who cares if your black or you´ve been shot twice...who was saying morrowind players were nerds anyway? Can´t see any posts about it at all...so think you need to chill a little.
For the rest of you, who don´t wanna get your piece´s out...or meet me in dark alleys...I need some help, cause I aint got a clue about how to play this game. As soon as I start...i chill for a bit, chat to a few people, then someone´ll start getting me down...I´ve already bought a sword and I can´t help but start stabbing them. Death follows.
I just find the whole thing a bit inaccessable, like, spells and stuff? Can I avoid them and just go-at it hack and slash? Cause the less I have to think, the more I get to kick ass hero-style...that is most definitely what I am talking about. If not, think I might throw it in the bin...cause I´m never gonna break into it am I?
If someone can post how I choose my character/stats etc...so I can have a less intensely boring journey through Morrowind I´d be totally grateful.

Sunder is in the Vemynal citadel located northwest of Dagoth Ur. Dagoth Vemyn guards Sunder so you will have to kill him to get Sunder. He is a high level Vampire so have be sure you are ready to take him on, resistances too. He was easy to kill for me, but it just depends. Dagoth Ur is in the middle of the map, and the citidal is a little off the path when heading northwest. Go to http://frduflot.free.fr/morrowind/HighRes/mw_map.htm and in the search, type in Vemynal and search. Should pinpoint the location. Go inside, find the vampire, and take Sunder. Beware, without Wraithgaurd, equipping the hammer will kill you...

smeechdog - you should just pick an orc and then pick design your own class, pick heavy armor, axe, armorer, athletics, acrobatics(just jump aorund all the time and ull level up quicker) and you can fill up all your other stats with whatever you want just have those in your major spots, as for fav attributes pick strength and endurance. and specialization pick combat and for sign pick the lady the 2 25pt bonuses are wonderful(you´ll need the personality bonus)
this guy will be strong as hell you can carry almost anything you pick up and will level up like crazy oh and join the fighters guild

you can become a werewolf by getting the lupinas disease from a werewolf and yes people will still talk to you but if anyone sees you when you change every single person in morrowind will attack you human form or werewolf form

@!*% of all you all spell terribly. second if you want a house all you have to do is find the dead tax collector to the south of seayda neen and take his stuff and deliver the 200 gold to the guy who tells you your class of person at the beginning and he tells you to find the murderer for 500 gold and to find the murderer talk to the light house lady then go kill the guy she tells you that had a fight with the tax collector and you get to keep the house without paying any fines or going to jail and you actually get reworded for killing the guy

i fond a trader with 9000 on but he will pay 1 per item unless he likes you 100/100 hes in a camp up near tel vos i all so fond the alosiv wite gear to the west of the camp wich is soth west off tell vos i can not remember the name off the camp its a big one u can c it on the map thers to off them check all the huts in both camps . singed max . not very happy whith the cheat on this game but it make s up 4 it in gameplay a guys

For those of you looking for fast levels, go to the thieves guild in Sadrith Mora and talk to the guy upstairs who knows spells. There is a spell called "scourge blade" or something like that. Get it, then go to a spellmaker and you have a list of all the skills under "drain skill." Pick the skill you want to train, set the drain to 100 pts on self for 1 second. Then go to someone who can train that skill, cast the spell and as soon as the effect takes place, talk to them. Training for that skill will be 1 gp. Do this to major and minor skills for easy and quick levels.

Ok most of you are the biggest noobs ive seen. the last dwarf is in the coraprasisium in tel fyr right by sadrith mora. i have Deadric, Glass, And every other armor in this game. if you noobs find tel fyr use your levitate potion to get up in his tower and thier wil be a chest of drawers. its level 100 lock but thats not a problem for people who know how to play this game. thiers a cuirrius thats armor rating 140 (if youre unarmored level 100) maybe that will help some of you noobs
