I´m not sure boycotting french folks in Live is wise.
I have been reading some French forums, and they (those on the forums) hate Chirac as much as the rest of the world do.

Remember, the whole modus operandi of being french, is that they are all "islands". Individuals.

They are weird, but the french are fascinating, and it makes Paris a splendid and interesting place to visit, even if it is a touch dirty in places.

$99 australian is roughly the same as $49 american at the moment. just a difference in currency.

If the French players are like their government they will just rollover when attacked. In my opinion they aren´t the smartest people. Just think where they would be if the U.S. didn´t help them last time. If they don´t realize what a fool Sadam is now they never will. My bet. When we eventually take Sadam´s toy´s we will find out that the French supplied some of the equipment needed to make them. I bet they are fighting the U.S. and Brittan going in because we´re going to find out how desperate for money they were.

In other words France has been Saddam´s whore. Just give them money and France will love you long time.

I hope the French people aren´t as stupid as the people they put in power. But aren´t the people in power of France French? I´d be embarrassed to be French.

let me explain about the french people and chirac. chirac is not a bad president.the true french people are about 25 percent the rest are foreigners. mostly muslim people. theres algerians,senegal,syrians,turks,ect,ect. now who controls the country. who elects the president. Yes your right. the people.with out the muslim people chirac would not be president. thats politics. you have to butter the people up to get elected. thats the way it is here,even in your own country.

Hmm the real reason France won´t join an attack on Iraq is they have MASSIVE oil and arms contracts with Iraq.

When the US pulled out after the last war French companies went in and bailed out all the Iraqi oil companies. France also exports heaps of weapons to Iraq. Russia also has large oil and arms business with Iraq which goes back even further.

And you want to know why Australia is backing this so much? (biggest force deployment since Nam) we import about 60% of our oil, and it´s forcast to increase alot more as our own supplies are running out. So we´re in this for a cut of the oil this "coalition of the willing" will no doubt grab.

As for Live in Australia, MS is taking Xbox owners here and raping us till we bleed. The following was confirmed by Microsoft Australia just the other day:

No Australian servers. We will have to use US ones.
No BB partnerships. MS says it will be agnostic.
And then the insult which is of course waiting till Oct... suddenly being PAL, and normally under European release dates isn´t enough to get same time Live release as Europe.


Anyone living here knows how bad BB services already are, and if there was ever a time for them to improve now was it. As it stands Microsoft has effectively given their second strongest country for Xbox uptake (their own words) a square kick in the ass.

At least we know that Europe will support Live even more than the japs.

I´m a bit pissed off that MS did little promotion in the UK outside for Live! of games mags and their website.. IMO they have missed a massive opportunity for a TV campaign ...or have I just missed it cos i´ve been playing Xbox? :-)

Anyway... when is Iraq getting Live! We could do with Saddam on to settle some differences. What would his gamertag be I wonder?.. KurdKrusher??

Good to see that the Aussie dates have been set. littlemo, I know it seams like a bad situation but it is well thought out.

Having a dedicated server just was fesable cash wise and realistically wouldn´t have made much of a diffrence in terms of performence, @!*% of all playing XBL on the US servers has no lag down here, I´ve tryied it and it works fine. Secondly, it means we will have about 300,000 people (alot more by october) to go again on the launch day.

It makes more sence, but is doesn´t answer why we couldn´t hvae launched at the same time as the euro servers though, that´s my only problem!!

You europeans got all this money tired up in this nation yet if we were invade what would you guys do . Europeans seem to be the only people in the world with a economy that isnt recessive.Dam you Europeans and your stupid Union

Anyhoo, he´s all on UC walking around on a no rockets server saying he doesn´t have the rocket gun and I mean, it´s right there in his hand. And he´s all like, "No dude it´s only a pistol, you´re insane!" Then I whooped him and he´s all like, "dude, seriously, I only died because that was my look alike, I was making a Manwich downstairs". Finally, he just ended the game down 40 saying that the inspectors were at the door and he had to go. What a tool.

Speaking of online games and europe, anyone read this about Eidos not supporting Live?

Australians can already get live actually, they just have to buy a yank live pack, it hasn´t been fully tested though, thats the only prob.
