Half Million XBLers Can’t Be Wrong!

Agreed man. xbl is where it´s at... Now someone tell me when the heck Midtown Madness is due to come out - and if Halo 2 is coming this side of Xmas?

Halo2 will be out a year from today according to EBworlds game site for releases. If Im correct Bungie has stated that this is the date no ifs ands or buts. The sucky part for me is I preorderd the game and Im moving out of state so hopefully Ill be able to get it. Midtown Madness will be out in May I think.
I think the only reason devs dont or wont step up to the plate is Xbox is still a baby in the console world. I do think that if XBL gets up to million usesers I think we will deffinatly see some really awesome stuff ( I hope). I still think MS is messing this up in alot of areas advertising especially. If MS can shove MSN down are throats every 30 seconds on TV then they can shove Xbox, XBL aswell. Granted thats up to program sponsors. This is all leading up to Xbox2 and XBL this will make or break MS´s endevor into console gaming.

go on-line and play guy´s all over the world....Without leaving my house...TEE-HEE!!!

I got kinda bored of it already, I´m just waiting for Midtown Madness 3, Midnight Club II, RtCW and a few more to get me back online.

You know i keep hearing that the xbox is so powerful and its got all these extra things. But its been out a year and its yet to do anything special. I´m nots saying it won´t. Just wondering why its taking so long to "Unl3a5H da P0WaR". Oh and 500,000 out of 9,000,000 isn´t that great of a figure. There was more people online with the dreamcast. Lives offical release amounted to a big nothing. At least in europe it did. It was games that overshadowed it. Microsoft really dropped the ball on the advertising side of things for Live. It was as if they hired Nintendos PR department to do it for them.

oh and for the record PS2 has a hard disk. Alright so they never use it for anything but it DOES have one. There will be cool added features to most multiplatform titles. Just look at Splinter cell. The real question is, will these downloadible extras keep coming if microsoft don´t hand out the cash to the developers?

Anyhoo, as for the online plans, I´m cheap. I probably won´t subscribe when it hits a monthly basis unless perhaps MS comes out with a way I can pay for it without using a credit card, then impulse buying will come into play.

I´d like to see a lot more in ways of inovation online. Online Play? Been there done that for free. Voice Sets? I´ve had Roger Wilco for a loooong time for free. Buddy tracking? Gamespy, cheap, good, cheap. I´ve done pretty much everything that Live can offer for free on the PC, so I hope they have a big secret up their sleeve. Also, (for the 23982741234th time) we need a mouse and keyboard for online games, especially with all of these FPS´ coming out. Maybe package it up with 3 months of live and sell it for 50 bucks, then I´ll buy it, because oddly, that´s the only thing stopping me from converting from my PC to the Xbox...well, that and mods. MS needs to actually listen to some people outside their inner circle.

Woohoo! 500.000! We will surely hit one million anytime soon (before the C-day of 2003 for sure), and when that happens, Microsoft can say: We were the @!*%, once again!

reason why most developers don´t care because they´re goin for the 5 million who have xboxes, not the 500,000 who has xbox live

500,000 is nothing to sneeze at, Anything that sells 500,000 in the old U.S.A. is considered a qualified success.(especially as rapidly as XBL sold),..The other consoles wish they could duplicate the sucess of XBL,..but they are constricted by the limitations of their hardware,..Look for Sony to release the PS3 ahead of schedule in a shocking publicity grabbing move about a year and a half from now.

What kind of impact will that create you ask?? Not that great because there will be few games and people will be leery...(and don´t ask miss Cleo)

Well to answer a question about the hard drive usage on the Xbox there is yet one game to date that utilizes it. That is Blinkx if you have played blinkx then you know how it utlizes it. Infact you need 200MB free to start a game. If you have put too much stuff on the Hard drive you will not be able to select a saved game or saved box. And for the PS2 they have a upgrade hardrive for the PS2 planed and this will be for the online gameing stuff and upgrades that may come out. Also they are thinking TiVO usaged for the hard drive. No playing the game and then recording the show you missed though.

am i the only one that copies music onto hard drive?? i have over 90 cd´s copied onto it, and also quite a few mixes and sampler cd´s..along with 28 games...and it still works just phine. i dont know how nerdy yall are (jk), but when me and my crew have parties, the xbox is the ultimate jukebox. peace.

This is great news for Microsoft and Xbox fans around the world. This is showing that there is a place for online console gaming as XBL continues to lead the pack. Although, still not enough to satisfy Nintendo, I think, that they will regret in the future not having strong online support for their console and neglected the request of gamers around the the world.

Microsoft and Sony will continue the never ending battle for online supremecy though. Yet, Microsoft, from the looks of it, will continue to foul their attempts at grabbing the online market.

And on a closing note. Im glad to say that im a proud Xbox and Xbox Live supporter.

There are so many no it all people on this site, i mean xboxowneriguess for instance "been there done that on PC" Roger wilco if you are talking about the one that you get for free is crap and no where near as good as the voice quality of Xbox live, and how do you pay for stuff through games spy err let me think "credit card", what is it that you peolple want or need out of a console that Xbox does not offer or at least is on the way in the future, keyboard and mouse agreed but other than dreamcast which is no more, what other console has them, not PS2 the so called greatest of the great, not! do me a favour guys and tell me what you all do for a living that makes you all so qualified to have all the answers for the gaming industry.

I can´t get a decent server no more on XBOX Live for Unreal Championship. Since Xbox Live started selling in Europe. Plus everyone seems to be using auto aim with a damn lightening gun, I´m very despondent by right now and will be upgrading my pc and using that instead.
