1. Maintain your speed! Make sure you've got plenty of speed before you attempt a trick.
The surest way to lose speed in the halfpipe is to turn too sharply up the halfpipe wall. When you're starting out in the halfpipe, resist the temptation to cut insanely back and forth. Head downhill, get some speed, then turn shallowly up to the lip while holding the A button. Release the A button just before the lip for maximum pop. With a little practice you'll learn how sharp you can turn without losing speed.
2. Land all of your big air tricks on rails for a big combo bonus.
Pure spins and flips are great, but you can't really consider yourself an expert until you perfect off-axis tricks. To perform an off-axis trick, release the jump button while holding the left stick or d-pad along a diagonal. You'll know you've done it when you see a trick named "corkscrew" or "rodeo". Off-axis tricks are harder to land because you're spinning and flipping at the same time, but are worth it because the points you earn are truly amazing.
Top Hint:
One skill you'll need to perfect right away is getting up to and grinding ski lifts. Some of the High Score challenges are so daunting, this will be a major source of your point income.

Really? Where? That would be tight as hell to get that kind of tv for only $20. But it sounds too good to be true so maybe it is not a real deal. But I could be wrong. Have fun playing games on that huge tv!!!

On Altibahn - you´ve just got to trick your ass off at every given opportunity. The Megaluftwhatsit one - shred down to your right pushing A and forward for top speed, bear left then pull off a corkscrew or rodeo (with grab and tweak) over the camera: you can get over 50,000 on both score and media with that trick alone.
