Fuzion Frenzy |

Well, it's official: The XBOX has it's first party game. The game is called "Fuzion Frenzy". Blitz Games, the creators of Fuzion Frenzy, will try to catch your attention with the game's fast gameplay, pretty graphics, and overall party attitude offered in their first Xbox title. Read on and see what I think of this frenzy of a title.
We have all played some sort of party title in our gaming career, and one thing is certain: the graphics could always be better. Sometimes it seems that many developers of "party games" take the graphics out of the equation in creating a good game. That's why it's so refreshing that Blitz Games has taken into account graphics with Fuzion Frenzy. You instantly notice how well detailed everything is. The maps don't look generic, but feel as if you were in a new area in different parts of the game. Suffice to say that everything in Fuzion is choke full of polygons, and with well detailed polygons to boot. Characters are all nicely detailed, and actually have differing physical appearances, like height and weight. You won't find the same character over and over again with just a change of clothes and skin tone. Fuzion Frenzy has very nice lighting effects. Explosions, fireworks, and lightning looks very good here. Reflections in Fuzion Frenzy is another story. They are basicallly non-existant in many levels, and sometimes when they are done, they plain suck! The water levels in Fuzion could also be fixed to include better water effects, and reflective properties.
Fuzion has very addictive gameplay. What can be best described as Mario Party on crack, this game will definitely be a crowd pleaser when you and three of your friends get together to waste the night away. The game will feature 45 mini games for you and your crew to spend many hours battling it out to see who is best of the rest. There will be water games, like one in which you all get into hover crafts and race around a track filled with tight turns, and deadly whirlpools waiting to suck you in. Land based stages will invovle players being put into balls of steel, and trying to survive by moving closer and closer into a shrinking area as the ground below you falls, and you try to knock your freinds over the ledge so you can occupy the little real estate left!! Very exciting. There is still some problems though with the camera sticking close to the leader of the pack in some stages, and leaving some players guessing as to where they are. That can be easily fixed with a few camera adjustments, so it's nothing to worry about.
Though Fuzion Frenzy doesn't promise anything new, becaue it brings nothing new to the table, especially since it doesn't have on-line play, it will be enjoyable for you and your friends to get together and have fun with your newly made Xbox. Now, if you could only find 3 people willing to come to your house, and play with you. You'll have to figure that one out for yourself, buddy. Until next time, my legion.
