XBOX is NOT getting Grand Theft Auto 3 or any Grand Theft Auto games. Sony signed a deal with Take 2 and they own the rights to GTA till October 2004. Bill should just buy Take 2 and we would have to worry about it.

Anyone notice the abnormal amount of GC fanboys running around these days? You´ll see the occasional ps2 or xbox fanboy, even rarer are the pc fanboys, but there are GC fanboys everywhere, just commenting on how much the other systems suck. Anyone else notice this?

I hate those guys that won´t play sports games because they think they can go outside and just play the sports.

to answere about hunter the reckoning it is a good bye its a good game but like any game even halo it has a few flaws the major flaw in hunter is the camera angle when you play 2 -4 people you guys can´t seperate verry fair as the camera wont let you.. other then that i find it to be a damn good game.. oh ya beating it in single player is almost impossible i swear so get atleast a couple of buddys when playin this game..

I bring to new converts to the ways of the XBOX o wise and powerful Jedi. One from my Kung Fu class, who bought one the day after I told him about Bruce Lee: Quest for the Dragon. Another from my Dorm, whose brother bought one and is now throughly hooked. Let it be known, all who bare witness to the true power of the BOX will forever be sucked into it´s green jewel of power. Oh wise one... you are correct it is 50 dollars cheaper... however, throw in the memory cards that equal the size of the XBox hard drive, some cord extenders so that the length of the controllers equals that of the XBox, and finally a can of spray paint to cover up the barney purple of some of those cubes and guess what? The XBox comes out to be about 50 dollars cheaper. Do the math.

Not to mention if you are a sports fanatic like myself (to be honest I dont even own Halo)... there is no better console than the Xbox... why? Well heck they have 3 companies producing games for them: EA, Sega, and good ole microsoft. Furthermore, Inside Drive and Fever are much better than the EA title out this year. Yet, let me give props to FIFA World Cup, Knockout Kings and NHL2002, all of which look better on the Xbox than any other system. By the way, has anyone tried playing Madden on a gamecube controller... please... my freakin old school intellivision and bally midway systems have better controllers and they were both produced in the late 70´s.

Nothing has been proven yet. Even if this turns out to be a problem, don´t think MS won´t have a patch for it by the time the system goes live. If this is a low level problem that a software patch or a chip flash wont fix then I´m sure that some type of curcuit/interface will be given to subcribers to plug in the port. Yeah Bryce, i think you should. You should also try to take some JEET KUNE DO classes. It´s the best wen it becomes to hand to hand combat. And it also could be mix with any fighting style(WRESTLING). Notice how most of the UFC fighters be having WRESTLING on standar and then JEET KUNE DO for defence. Others VALE-TU-DO and then JEET KUNE DO. Thats because BRUCE LEE made Jeet Kune Do straight from his combat experiences. Wich could be perfectly use on the Octagon.

Now stop basking the consoles. They are both good, but not flawless. Both Nintendo and MS has a strong line-up. MS is betting on the online, Nintendo on the GBA - GC connectivity.

Ricky, i purchased the xbox version of morrowind yesterday and it is simply fascinating. 200+ hours of gameplay, rich detailed graphics, wonderful sound track. It would take hours just to explain how beautiful this game is. Sadly, you are not worth the time.

Ricky, Xbox outsells GC in US, Europe and even Japan right now...

And Morrowind plays like a dream on Xbox... even though it doesn´t have the constructioin, I do think the Xbox version is much better than the PC version, because it plays much more smooth!

Unfortunately NeXuS, Ricky will never know the spendor and joy that we experience with xbox. Sony blinds his left eye, nintendo the left. His closed minded attitude, and system sales obsession won´t allow him to try new things. Even if they are better than the ststus qoe. While fair, open mined gamers such as ourselves can admit that other games, other systems have merit, Ricky shall remained forever trapped in the quagmire of a closed mind. Pity too, even i thought he had the potential to at least attempt to experience something new and different. Its a shame. If it was the most advanced, wouldn´t more people be buying it? It is after all the same price as the Ps2. If it is so great and has so much more to offer, why is Sony still outselling it? Ricky, let me tell you why PS2 still outsells Xbox. Because of both knowlegde and no knowledge...

You see, approx. 70 million people worldwide owns the PSX, which BTW was a great console. This means that approx. 70 million people knows about PS2 and THINKS it is as good as PSX was. And also because they can play their PSX games on PS2 (which I BTW can´t see the reason for. The graphics is really not improved, and you can still play the PSX games on the PSX)...
So Xbox is Microsofts FIRST console, so they need time to tell people about it. So when people know about Xbox, they will determine if the like the console or not, which many BTW do, when they first know about it...

You see, I do believe PSX was a great console and that´s why it has sold as much as it has. But I do think, that Sony just made the PS2 to make money of the PSX´s hype. Sony could have waited with the release of PS2 and made it better, but they decided to release it way before GC and Xbox, just so that they in the beginning could be the only console (the dreamcast died) and rely on the PSX´s succes. So now PS2 got a batch of games and the support from store, because they make more money on PS2, and that gives Xbox and GC a tough time, and I really don´t like that strategy, because both Xbox and GC are indeed great consoles and so are PS2... But I think to many people just buy PS2 without even know if the Xbox or GC is more for them...

look guys, we wont have to worrie about Nintendo after the game cube,Im beting that this will be their last system. As for the PS1.5 ,it usually takes about the shelf life of a console before everyone starts to see that that they went the wrong way,in other words the Xbox will be the ONLY system out there next time around.It damn near is now! The head start that Sony got with the PS 1.5 ,there should be no reason that the Xbox is as close as it is,but it is! And closing ! FACE IT GUYS ! I´m too lazy to go back to the top of the screen and find the spelling. It is Ken Shamrock that has/had a San Diego Lion´s Den. As for Jeet Kune Do training. It is really more of a sport than combat art. There are good things to it but not even Bruce Lee Mastered teaching what he was creating. If you really want to learn a good street fighting martial art. Look into Kung Fu San Soo. It has everything, It was brought to the U.S. pre WWII by a real Chinese Master that had the books from a Qwan Yin Monastary (Goddess of Mercy). Bruce Lee trained from Jimmy H Woo in San Soo. That Parker guy that was Bruce´s body guard was kicked out of Jimmy´s school. Bruce was a real martial artist but Jimmy was one of the best. He challenged Ali when Ali was in his prime. Ali had been fighting the bum of the week contests and wanted to fight a Chinese Master. When Ali´s people found out about Jimmy´s background they quickly backtracked and sent Jimmy a letter. I never saw the letter but I´ve trained with some of the older masters. They saw it and it said something to the effect of: "We never expected someone of your caliber to exist or accept our challenge." Ali´s people respectfully withdrew.

You can go to the Indian reservations and enter some NHB competition. I´ve trained briefly with the Machado´s in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Those guys are tough. I wouldn´t want to enter a NHB competition against them. There isn´t enough money to have the capsules in your elbows ruptured. It is a very common injury.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.....or just last week, I was reading a little magazine called "The Top 70 reasons Why You Should Own An Xbox". Of course, being the owner of a GameCube, I didn´t want to read it but of course, peer pressure can only go so far. As a once intelligent man once said:

Anyway, as I read through the whole thing, I couldn´t feel even more insulted. Every single page was filled with propaganda. Hell, I even thought I was back in Germany in the late 1930s when Hitler was in power. The whole magazine is filled with nothing but pathetic insults to hype up the Xbox from who else? The makers of The Official Xbox Magazine. Let´s go through them,shall we?
Reason #70: "It´s Easy To Spell".
"Playstasion? Playstation Too? GameQube? Let´s just stick with four easy letters".
Hell, the first reason makes me feel as if I should give the makers of this magazine a spelling book. Come on, what freakin´ idiot would actually misspell names like these? And all this time, I thought people from Microsoft were geniuses. You want four easy letters? I got 2 instead. "F U".

Reason #66: "Breakaway Controller"

Why it´s important: Although some will complain about the need to purchase a remote control to play DVD movies on the Xbox, this may actually be the best possible arrangement.
The ´date factor´: It´s your choice but if you invite a date over to watch a romantic DVD, would you rather have an actual remote at your disposal or a Ps2 pas? Ok, Ok, this may not be a reason to hate it if you own a Gamecube, but come on. If you watch a romantic DVD movie with your date on an Xbox, what are the chances of you actually keeping your date? Yet again, these fellows at Microsoft seem ´smart" if they can´t remember what to do on a PS2 controller.

Reason #47: "Graphical Prowess"
"Why it´s important: There is no mass master graphics processor on the face of this planet that´s more powerful than the Xbox GPU. In terms of pure polygon power, special effects, and ease of use, nothing comes close in the console world.

Wow, for a magazine filled with propaganda, they really do go out of their way to find the GPU speed. But of course, this is only "speed". Yet again, here we have another case of misinterpreted information. This magazine only focuses on the "speed". Everyone knows (including the zoo monkeys at Official XBOX magazine) that the Nintendo GameCube PowerPC was powered for games AND GAMES ONLY, which makes it more powerful than the Xbox´s CPU. Hell, all Xbox did was go to an electronics store, buy a $200 computer chip, and place it on the Xbox. Wow, goodee, just what we need. Another COMPUTER chip.

Reason #42: "The Jewel"
"Why it´s important: Don´t laugh; every console has its distinguishing characteristic, and as far as those go, the jewel isn´t half-bad. Sure, it doesn´t light up, make sounds, or emit radiation in a remarkable fashion, but it´s impossible to miss and you´ll never forget what console you´re playing when it´s nearby.
The competition: The Ps2´s blue LED is mesmerizing, but it´s old news, and let´s not even talk about the GameCube´s Barney purse handle."
Now here´s where the Gamecube owners feel the ouch. Hell, this magazine is treating video gamers like a bunch of idiots. Wow, we can´t read so if we see the jewel, we´re playing the XBOX. Wow. Super ouch. I´ll admit that the Xbox can push it but of course, graphics don´t make up a game. Look at DOA3. Here we have the best graphics seen in any game out there.......but the gameplay? Time after time Magnum, Hollow and I have given you facts, sales figures and statistics, but unfortunately, you choose to dissregard these and toss them aside as if they didn´t matter to you. the only thing they have for summer is sega gt and outlaw golf and both are being ported. the gcn on the other hand has bomberman, lost kingdoms, eternal darkness, wavebird wireless, starfox dinosaur planet, and wrestlemania. the ps2 has sky gunner.

as for winter, you will have xbox live and that will be big, but the gcn will have zelda ,metroid, mario sunshine, zelda gba, and doshin the giant...those right there are all AAA titles and million sellers what other system has had so many AAA titles in one season? the closest is ps2 with ffx mgs2 and gta 3 from last year.

I too am an OldSchool Hardcore Gamer and the XBOX brought me back to the games. Halo, World Series, Project Ego (Fable), Brute Force, Star Wars KOTOR, Battlefield ´42, Spilnter Cell, etc. I went from a NES to a SNES to Genisis to PS1 to Dreamcast and after Sega pulled out of the game so did I. I briefly thought about getting a PS2 when it came out but after Sony´s terrible handling of the launch, I said I was done with video games. How can someone say that the XBOX isn´t targeted at hardcore games and all they have are rehashes and ports. Didn´t Metroid first come out back in the late 80´s? I didn´t know Mario and Luigi were new kids on the block.

Look, I´m not here to hate on the PS2 or the GC but I´ve moved on past Zelda, Luigi, and Mario and I don´t want a system that only has games (except GTA3) that are coming out across all the platforms. Metroid is nice, but I need more than that to get me up to buy the system. Hell, I already own Halo.

All the systems are selling, and Microsoft isn´t going anywhere so all you XBOX haters just relax. Of course there is a lot of PS2 and GC bashing going on around here. It´s a freaking Xbox site!!! We are a collective of people who have invested $300 in a video game system and we feel passionate about our investment. The XBOX will, I repeat will, survive and prosper in the months and years to come.

Stylez, that´s what I´m saying. For Ps2 to have the least amount of first party titles of any of the consoles, it still dominates the market. Usually, when there is a multi-platform game who gets it first? PS2. Because with over 30 million units out there, the game developers will get their money back in Ps2 sales alone.

i never supported a console on sales, thats why i have a gcn, i support a console by what great games are headed its way. and no i dont have to waste money for add ons for a ps2, ive got a pc if i want to play online. and i can do it for free too! and the only system i ever said was the best was the snes and the dreamcast(when compared to the other 128 bit systems)

well, of coarse developers can make a better game on the xbox and gcn than on the ps2, the ps2 is over a year old. duh!

and here is a perfect example of how you choose graphics over gameplay! the graphics for wreckless suck ass, theres no way around it, the ps2 can handle way better than that, those are psx´ish graphics, but what the game lacks in graphics, it more than makes up for in gameplay, its twice as long as the xbox version, and it has a free roam option, so its gonna be more funner and/or have more to the game, but since you are an xbox´er you will only look at the face value of the game and never look back at it.

hahahahaha, its still cool today magnum. Game of the year, does that ring a bell? Oh, and 2/4 of my homeboys that came over never played halo before. One was a hardcore pos1.4, the other a cubehead. I like using halo as a recruiting tool. I dont have to brag or say, wow your gonna love this. I particularly like bootin up the "truth and reconciliation" level. Put the skill level on normal, give em their choice of controler, and away they go. Watching their reaction, seeing them learn how to cooperate just when that sweet soundtrack kicks in. Gets em everytime. Halo may not be new to me, but its new to them. They both said they will trade in systems for XBOX. XBOX is no fluke, its here to stay for a looong time.

well, i played halo, and for many hours, its fun to play! but i still would rather play online against other humans (sure you can do this on the xbox, but i like playing against whole squades of people) and halo DID NOT make want to jump out of my seat and run off to the closest best buy and pick one up, the game made me feel like i had played it a million times before but with suped up graphics. im just gonna throw this comment out on the table::: perfect dark also has co op mode, it aint that bad either.
