In the late 90's everyone "Forgot about Dre"... Last year, one of the hottest news itmes was about Lionhead's Project Ego... Guess What? Everyone "Forgot about Ego"... Well, it's back, looking meaner than an Iraqi with a loaded AK-47. Project Ego is now know as Fable, and have they been working hard...
Project Ego, Lionhead’s ambitious life sim, has been officially dubbed Fable, and should be with us during 2003 according to the new X02 release sheet.
Fable begins melodramatically, with the kidnapping of your mother and sister, and your first job is to cross the magical land of Albion in search if your heroic father. Unfortunately, games have a tendency to plunge wannabe rescuers into a world of danger, and Fable is no exception. An evil power is looking to decimate the fairytale lives of Albion’s inhabitants and has turned the heroes into power-crazed, cold-hearted monsters. With the exception of your father, whose tenacity prompted the kidnapping of your nearest and dearest. So, basically, your job is to rescue them and save the entire world.
 
Your journey starts with you as a young, callow youth with only the force of will to guide you. You will grow in size and strength as the game wears on, but how you grow is apparently down to you. Lionhead plans to give you the opportunity to shape your own character for good or evil, rather as you could in Black & White.
If you’re a malicious, spiteful, ruthlessly cunning man with no respect for anything then you’ll end up just as evil as those you hope to stop. Use your force of will and you’ll become wise and wizard-like. The immensity of Albion means that you can cross entire continents visiting a stupendous amount of locations and meeting a variety of colourful characters, but all the time the Will guides you – Peter Molyneux recently told the press that you could very well take a wife and father a few children, just existing happily in Albion, but you mustn’t lose sight of your goal, and the Will interjects by fiddling fate to remind you. If your wife ends up the victim of an unfortunate ploughing accident and your children accidentally brutally slaughter themselves with the kitchen cutlery, that’s probably the Will telling you it’s time to move on.

Do you even still get to raise a family? They said so in the early goings, but I guess they were talking about you get to raise your own character.
I´m going to raise mine to be malicious, spiteful, ruthless, black hearted, merciless, viscious, and with no soul. Come now! Those are the only good ones to speek of. Most of the greatest characters are either fearless, strong, good looking, well dressed, bad ass (Snake,Lara,Dante,Wesker, Master Chief,Buffy, ect...) and people who don´t take shit from no one. Some are even Purest of Pure Evil. What better way to kill an evil person then to be one. "To Eat His Own." You can´t be all nice and kind hearted to win. Things like those can get you killed.

Dazaster I think this game is gonna kick ass. Its supposed to revolutionize RPG´s. Raisin a family is just an add-on (waste of time???)
i´m sure they´ll be a kick ass main plot cause i for one is looking forward to this awesome lookin rpg that´ll prob be a hundred times better than morrowind

Animal Crosing for GameCube looks like a Super Nintnendo game.
This looks like a Feature film. Those screens beter be in game screens not FMVs.

those are in game ball teselations of the furthest vaginal degree. i also heard the this game uses those pube shaders that me and daz love so much. the screens also have an assholio filter that from what i understand, makes the penile shafts look very realistic.

Anyways, Fable is an AWESOME name change for EGO. Game looks
better everytime I see it. If it lives up to all the hype, and is immersive as the previews portray it to be, I´ll deffinately be grabbin´ a copy.

Hopefully this wont be like Morrowind. Dont get me wrong, I like Morrowind but the fighting style wasnt appealing and you could be able to kill everyone in a town and it stays that way, instead i hope people from other towns would be able to move around and everything

I´ve already bought this game, in my mind. And with these latest reports... that´s only solidified my decision.
I love Morrowind, too. But, Fable will rock our worlds, comparatively.

fand in this game my guy is goin to be the purest of evil there is to be born im goona kill every thing in sight but first im gonna raise a famil and then im goin to kill my wife when the childs born and its not goin to be no im gonna open up her intestants and then and then kut her breast off but first gag her then im going to kill my kids cept the oldest one see if he comes back to haunt me just to see how this game really works so as u can se ive had this thing figured out since i heard bout this game in june

Sweet Buddha, this game is going to be great. It´s like a Super-Juiced up Morrowind meets Black & White, I´m going to play this game a lot, I think I should gather supplies so i can maintain life inside of my room, also I should get two xbox´s so I can play the one while the other is resting... dammit. i hope they take their time with this game and make it live up to what i´m expecting...
